The Chosen Ones is a project especially for KS3 boys to engage them in school through art. Outside funding allowed the school to bring in two artists to work with the boys in some workshops which will result in an exhibition in the Curve Gallery. The boys were central to the selection of the artists. They helped write the advert and then interviewed the artists. The chosen artists were Ulf Pedersen and Davy McGuire.
Creativity Day 28 May 2010
06.09
While many of our students went on a trip to Drayton Manor theme park, those that stayed in school had an extraordinary day. Everybody was involved with three sessions: Eco-School- a challenge to design the school the way you want it; Eco-Shelter- making a shelter for a creature of your choice out of recycled materials; and Eco-phone.
Some students were taken out of their normal groups to either work with an artist in the Curve or with a Samba drummer in the drama studio.
